Ein Debüt, ein 10-faches und ein 20-jähriges Jubiläum. Alles beginnt am Flughafen Zürich. Einerseits mit unzähligen Longruns um den Flughafen und Umgebung, aber schlussendlich am Morgen des 28. Oktobers, Tag vor dem Marathon. Am Gate treffe ich mit meinem eingespielten Supporter-Team Luki und Mami auf LCRLäuferin ll Christina und ihr Mann Thomas – das MarathonWeekend hat begonnen!
In Frankfurt angekommen, stürzen wir uns gleich auf das Messegelände, Startnummer abholen, Marathon-Luft schnuppern, das Kribbeln in den Beinen ein erstes Mal spüren … der langersehnte 29. Oktober rückt näher, ist zum Greifen nah! Ein lockeres Footing am Nachmittag (welches wegen Orientierungsproblemen eher in einem Dauerlauf endete…hallo OL-Läufer, brauche mal etwas Nachhilfe!), etwas in der Stadt umherschlendern (was man ja eigentlich nicht tun sollte am Tag vor den 42km…), eine ordentliche Portion Kohlenhydrate zum Znacht – und dann ab ins Bett!
Dank der Umstellung auf die Sommerzeit gewinnen wir gar noch eine Stunde Schlaf … doch dieser war nicht ganz so erholsam wie in anderen Nächten, die Nervosität sitzt bereits im ganzen Körper fest! Beim Frühstück schaue ich besorgt nach draussen: strömender Regen und Windböen bereiten mir Bauchschmerzen; da beruhigen mich auch all die Meteodienste nicht, die auf den Start, um 10Uhr, trockene Verhältnisse vorhersagen. Doch tatsächlich, heute stimmen die Prognosen! Nach einem kurzen Aufwärmen verabschieden Christina und ich uns von unseren treuen Unterstützern und suchen in unserem Startblock, inmitten von 14‘500 Läufern Schutz vor den nach wie vor anhaltenden Windböen …
Da stehen wir also, der Speaker stellt die Top-Athleten vor, laute Musik, nervöses Getänzle von unzähligen Beinen um uns herum … der Start steht kurz bevor … der Moment ist gekommen … unglaublich … der Startschuss fällt! Langsam setzt sich die Läufermasse in Bewegung und begibt sich auf die 42,195km durch die Strassen von Frankfurt! Gar nicht so einfach, in so vielen Leuten zu laufen und dann auch noch den eigenen Rhytmus zu finden. „Nicht zu schnell anlaufen, Me …“, musste ich mir im Vorfeld so oft anhören. Daran will ich mich halten. Wenn sich da nicht plötzlich meine Uhr zwischen all den GPSSignalen verirrt hätte, hätte ich ja auch alles unter Kontrolle. Doch auch so – bei km10 finde ich meinen Schritt, und ab da läufts. Und läuft. Und läuft. Nach km13 verlassen wir die Stadt und laufen raus aufs Land; den Windböen ausgesetzt, suche ich hinter meinen Mitläufern Windschatten, um möglichst wenig Kraft zu verpuffen. Bei km16 ein bekanntes Gesicht, Thomas hält einen Gel für mich bereit. Ich laufe. Km21. Halbmarathon. Halbzeit. Meine Uhr zeigt 1:31. Sieht gut aus. Ich fühle mich gut. Läuft. Aber Achtung: „Bis Kilometer 30 kommt jeder; danach entscheidet sich, wer einen Marathon packt und wer nicht“. Also locker bleiben. Nichts überstürzen. Es liegt noch viel vor mir. Kurz vor km27 setzt tatsächlich kurz Regen ein. Ziemlich hässlich, nass und windig. Aber da vorne steht Luki: Gel, Wasser und ein „Hopp Schätzäli“ warten auf mich … und schon ist der Regen vergessen! Hier ist sozusagen der Wendepunkt, nun geht es wieder zurück in Richtung Stadt. 5 km weiter, bei km32 erwartet mich Thomas nochmals – ich fühle mich noch immer gut. Irgendwie beginnt’s langsam so richtig Spass zu machen! Ein paar km weiter führt die Strecke an der Messe vorbei, wo 6km später dann der Zieleinlauf sein wird. Doch an diesen denke ich noch nicht. Noch 1km bis Luki, Mami und Papi (welcher heute Morgen noch mit dem Zug angereist ist!). Ich sehe Papi, es gibt ein High5 und weiter gehts! Bald passiere ich km38, noch 4km bis ins Ziel, ich feiere jeden Meter, es läuft wie von allein, ich muss immer wieder schmunzeln, wenn ich daran denke, was hier gerade vor sich geht … es läuft und läuft und läuft. Super Stimmung in der Stadt, da sehe ich Luki nochmals, die letzten 1,5km warten auf mich, ich kann nochmals richtig aufdrehen … die Messe, und somit das Ziel, kommt näher, der Rote Teppich, die Diskobeleuchtung und die Musik in der Zieleinlaufhalle, auf die ich mich seit Monaten gefreut habe … ich lache, ich laufe, ich habe Gänsehaut, kanns kaum glauben, fliege förmlich durch die Festhalle, ein Handschlag mit dem Speaker, der mich gar beim Namen ausruft, ich laufe in 3:02.55 über die Ziellinie, kann nicht glauben, was da gerade abgeht!! Ich bin total im High, Adrenalin strömt durch menie Blutbahnen, Endorphin durch meinen Körper … Ich bin hin & weg!!
Das war er; mein erster Marathon. Mit Sicherheit nicht der Letzte. Aber vielleicht gar der Schönste von allen!
Ach ja, und das übrigens nach 20 Jahren LCR! Somit sind wir beim eingangs erwähnten 20-jährigen Jubiläum. 1997 bin ich in den LC Regensdorf eingetreten, damals noch bei den «Kleinen», mit Kugelstossen, Weitsprung und allem Drum & Dran … und ich weiss noch wie stolz ich war, als ich wenige Jahre später zum Ruedi in die Läufergruppe durfte. Weil da waren ja schon alle so «Gross» und da kommen ja nur die «Guten» hin, und vielleicht war ich ja nicht «gut genug»!? Doch ich wurde aufgenommen und nun werden sie mich nicht mehr los. Leider hat Christina heute keinen guten «Tag X» erwischt. Bis zur HalbmarathonMarke läuft soweit alles nach Plan, doch dann beginnen Energie-Probleme, Magenbeschwerden … die zweite Hälfte wird richtig hart. Doch sie kämpft, gibt trotzdem alles und erreicht das Ziel mit 3:27 unter dreieinhalb Stunden! Das Resultat liegt zwar klar unter ihren Erwartungen und die Enttäuschung ist dementsprechend gross – doch schlechte Tage gibt es, Christina hat viel mehr auf dem Kasten! Kopf hoch, das kommt schon wieder! Wer kann schon von sich behaupten 10 Marathons, allesamt deutlich unter vier Stunden, gefinished zu haben!? Herzliche Gratulation zum Jubiläum! Auf die nächsten 10!
