Die Kontinentalmeisterschaften starteten am Sonntag mit den Spints in Bellinzona. Am Morgen mussten alle Läufer erst einmal durch die Qualifikation, welche in drei Heat’s ausgetragen wurde.

Am Schluss fehlten Seba bei einer Laufzeit von um die 13 Minuten lediglich 20 Sekunden für den Einzug in den Final.
Am Nachmittag wurden die Medaillen auf den Strassen und Gassen von Mendriso vergeben. Andreas Rüedlinger gelang mit dem 11. Rang ein ausgezeichnetes Resultat. Drei kleine Fehler am Ende des Parcours kosteten Andreas leider ein Diplomrang, welcher er um nur 13 Sekunden verpasste.
