Mitten in ihrer Vorbereitung für den Berlin Marathon im September startete Samira Schnüriger am letzten Samstag beim Swissalpine Marathon. Über 42.7 km und 1424 Höhenmeter führte die Strecke von Davos über den Scalettapass und Sertigpass wieder zurück nach Davos. Bereits im ersten Aufstieg herrschten garstige Bedingungen mit Regen, Hagel und Kälte, mit welchen Samira schwer zu kämpfen hatte. Erst auf dem letzten Streckenteil konnte Samira ihr ganzes läuferisches Potential ausschöpfen. Trotz einem äusserst schnellen letzten Kilometer und einer Zeit von 4:14.39 verpasste Samira den Podestplatz nur um winzige 5 Sekunden.
