Unsere drei LCR-Athleten Loris Pellaz, Stefan Ulrich und Ramona Rieder sind der Eliteeinladung von der Course de l’Escalade gefolgt und reisten zusammen mit Nicola Hagger nach Genf. Über 3 Runden startete Ramona um 14:35 Uhr. Die sehr coupierten 7.323km bewältige sie in 29min 28sec. Mit dem 51. Rang ist sie in diesem starken Feld zufrieden: «Da ich erst in der 4. Trainingswoche nach der Saisonpause bin und die Streckenführung nicht unbedingt mein Lieblingsprofil- und distanz ist, bin ich ohne Erwartungen an das Rennen gegangen.»

Bei unseren 3 LCR-Jungs fiel um 15:10 Uhr der Startschuss. Loris teilte sein Rennen gut ein und überquerte als 8. Schweizer in einer Zeit von 22min 8sec zufrieden die Ziellinie. Stefan genoss vor allem die unglaubliche Stimmung, da seine Formkurve nach dem späten Trainingsbeginn noch eher zu wünschen übrig lässt. Mit einer Zeit von 24min 26sec kam er noch knapp in den Top-100 als 97. ins Ziel. Nachdem Nicola sehr lange Zeit aufgrund einer Verletzung nur Alternativ trainieren konnte, stand er nach über einem Jahr wieder einmal an der Startlinie. Seine 24min 47sec sind eine gute Motivation für das weitere Wintertraining.

    It’s truly inspiring to see such dedication and determination. Ramona
    Rieder’s performance, despite being in her 4th week
    of training after a seasonal break and not having
    her favorite course, is commendable. Kudos to Loris Pellaz for managing his race well and
    finishing 8th among the Swiss athletes. Stefan Ulrich’s enjoyment of
    the incredible atmosphere, despite a late start to his training,
    is heartening. It’s also great to see Nicola Hagger back on the track
    after a long break due to injury. His time is
    a good motivation for the upcoming winter training.
