Weniger als 12 Stunden nachdem wir von den erfolgreichen Schweizermeisterschaften in Uster nach Hause kamen, fuhren die ersten Coaches und die Langsprinterinnen nach Bern. 

Unterschiedlicher können Veranstaltungen kaum erlebt werden. Während in Uster am Freitagabend auch unter Einhaltung der Corvid 19 Beschränkungen eine tolle Stimmung herrschte, wirkte der Wettkampf in Bern eher stimmungslos. 

Als erste Läuferinnen standen unsere beiden Langsprinterinnen über 400m im Einsatz und glänzten mit neuen Bestzeiten. In der schnellsten Serie überzeugte Karin Disch als vierte und verbesserte sich um beinahe eine halbe Sekunden auf  55.50“. Nach einer langen „Durststrecke“ gelang es auch Michelle Gröbli mit 57.46 Ihre Bestzeit zu knacken. Über 400m Hürden fand Leana Wanner nicht bei allen Hürden den passenden Rhythmus und verpasste eine bessere Zeit. 

Dank seinen ausgezeichneten Resultaten der letzten Wochen fand Urs Schönenberger Aufnahme in der sehr gut besetzten internationalen Serie über 1500m. Ein langer Kratzer eines Nagelschuhes am Bein zeugte von der Hektik der ersten 200m Meter. Trotz der langsamsten Meldezeit in seiner Serie konnte sich Urs aber nach und nach geschickt nach vorne arbeiten. Mit einer tollen Schlussrunde (unter 60“) verbesserte Urs seine Bestzeit als vierter und zweitbester Schweizer um 3.70“ und verdrängt damit seinen Trainer Gian Marco in der LCR Top-Ten Bestenliste vom dritten Rang. In der aktuellen CH-Bestenliste belegt Urs ebenfalls den sehr guten zweiten Rang. 

Auch wenn die allerschnellsten 1500m–Läuferinnen des LCR aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht am Start standen, war das Runningteam mit fünf Athletinnen sehr zahlreich vertreten. Lavignia Lovato verbesserte ihre PB nur ganz knapp, zeigte aber, dass noch deutlich mehr möglich ist. Annika Vetterli verbesserte ihre PB endlich sehr deutlich und Anna Simona Rieder zeigte bereits in ihrem ersten 1500er einen sehr couragierten Lauf. Nadine Allemann bestimmte in ihrer Serie sehr lange das Tempo mit, so dass ihr in der Schlussphase etwas die Puste ausging. Melanie Staubli war in einer zu schnellen Serie eingeteilt und lief leider nicht in den Bereich ihrer Bestzeit.
