Den drei Orientierungsläufern des LCR-Runningteams ist an den Europameisterschaften im Orientierungslauf im Tessin ein guter Start gelungen.

Die Kontinentalmeisterschaften starteten am Sonntag mit den Spints in Bellinzona. Am Morgen mussten alle Läufer erst einmal durch die Qualifikation, welche in drei Heat’s ausgetragen wurde.

Andreas Rüedlinger qualifizierte sich als 14. in seinem Vorlauf knapp für den Final. Laura Ramstein (Österreich) erreichte den starken 8. Rang und erreichte den Final souverän. Sebastian Inderst (Italien) war im bestbesetzten Heat eingeteilt und musste sich bereits mit allen drei Medaillengewinnern messen. Am Schluss fehlten Seba bei einer Laufzeit von um die 13 Minuten lediglich 20 Sekunden für den Einzug in den Final.

Am Nachmittag wurden die Medaillen auf den Strassen und Gassen von Mendriso vergeben. Andreas Rüedlinger gelang mit dem 11. Rang ein ausgezeichnetes Resultat. Drei kleine Fehler am Ende des Parcours kosteten Andreas leider ein Diplomrang, welcher er um nur 13 Sekunden verpasste.

Laura Ramstein gelang im Final leider nicht mehr ein gleich «flüssiger» Lauf, gewann mit dem 33. Rang trotzdem ein paar wertvolle Weltcuppunkte.
