Normalerweise finden die ersten Strassenläufe der Schweiz der kalten Wintertemperaturen wegen, erst im Monat März statt. Doch auch bei dieser frühen Austragung des Strassenlaufes von Payerne herrschten für einen Langstreckenlauf sehr angenehme Frühlingstemperaturen. Dafür machte der sehr starke Westwind den Athleten einen Strich durch die Rechnung. Die Laufzeiten wurden durch den Wind für alle stark beeinträchtigt. Lediglich auf der Startschlaufe und dem letzten Kilometer war der Wind nicht allzu stark.

Das kilometerumfangreiche Wintertraining trug sicher enorm zum Selbstvertrauen unserer Läufer und Läuferinnen bei und so starteten alle top motiviert in den Lauf.

Das beste Resultat lieferte Urs Schönenberger, der als dritter Schweizer seine persönliche Bestzeit auf sehr starke 30:39.7‘ verbesserte und sich damit in der TopTen-Bestenliste des Vereins auf dem zweiten Rang etablierte. Persönliche Bestzeiten liefen unser Romand Loris Pellaz mit der Zeit von 31:50.2‘ und auch Nicola Hagger mit 32:57.7‘. Knapp vor Nicola klassierte sich Lukas Vögtli, der während der Militärrekrutenschule ebenfalls bei uns trainiert.

Ebenfalls auf den zweiten Rang der LCR-Bestenliste katapultierte sich Ravenna Gassmann, die mit ihrer Zeit von 36:59.4‘ und als sechstbeste Schweizerin nicht nur sich selber überraschte. Knapp hinter Ravenna verpasste Samira Schnüriger nach 37:27.1‘ ihre PB nur minim. Ihren ersten 10km Lauf bestritten Lucienne Chrétien, Lavignia Lovato und Suhely Durgauhe. Suhely gelang mit dem 5. Rang der Kategorie U20 ein sehr erfreuliches Resultat.
